I have been taking photographs for most of my life, but my serious interest in Wildlife and Wild Landscapes began when I visited Alaska where the vast landscapes and abundant wildlife opened my eyes to new possibilities for photography.
Since that trip I have visited many exotic and extreme locations, from the high Arctic to Southern Africa, and more recently to Antarctica, South Georgia, the Falkland Islands, the Peruvian Amazon and the Galapagos Islands, all in order to photograph the varied wildlife and landscapes that are so dramatically different to those found in the UK.
I find wildlife photography in the UK equally exciting and in many respects more challenging, with the Highlands of Scotland one of my favourite locations.
Whether I am capturing a vast landscape or the details of a minute insect, I never cease to be amazed by what Mother Nature provides for us all.
